Clay County Heritage Center

Clay County Heritage Center is at 7 Grand Ave. Exhibits highlight the history and settlement of Clay County. Topics include prehistoric times, such as resident tribes, as well as early medicine and farming. One exhibit—Conflagration: The Great Spencer Fire of 1931—features a 1918 LaFrance fire truck. Changing exhibits, a research library and the offices of the Clay County Historical Society also are available.
