Pella Historical Village is at jct. E. First and Franklin sts. On the site are 24 buildings including a country store with historical artifacts, a log cabin, a replica of Pella's first church, a wooden shoe workshop, a smithy, a sod house and a woodworker's workshop. Other features include a library, a puppet theater, a Delft collection and a Dutch costume display.
The Vermeer Mill, a working reproduction 1850s Dutch grain mill, serves as an interpretive center. Highlights include a historical timeline of Pella and a miniature Dutch village. Wyatt Earp's boyhood home, within the village, is furnished in a style typical of the 1880s. Colorful flower gardens line the brick pathways that connect the buildings.
With the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
