Fort Museum and Frontier Village

Fort Museum and Frontier Village is .5 mi. e. of jct. US 20 Bus. Rte. and US 169. This replica of an 1862 militia fort houses two original cabins within a stockade. Collections of military, pioneer and Native American artifacts are displayed. Front Street has a drugstore, jail, log chapel, general store, newspaper office, blacksmith shop, log house, cabinet shop, livery stable, schoolhouse and Fort Dodge stoneware building, all furnished in period. A land office displays Fort Dodge memorabilia.
