Decorah Fish Hatchery

Decorah Fish Hatchery, at 2325 Siewers Spring Rd., showcases hatchery operations, where Shasta strain rainbow and St. Croix strain brook trout are raised. Visitors can purchase a handful of fish feed for 25 cents. Fishing is permitted in the trout stream that flows through the property and is stocked April through October; a valid Iowa fishing license and trout stamp are required. The site also provides an opportunity to watch the Decorah bald eagles perching in the maple trees on the property or via a live stream during nesting season.
