The History Center

The History Center is at 800 2nd Avenue S.E. Permanent and rotating exhibits focus on the industries, institutions, businesses and families that shaped Cedar Rapids and Linn County. The museum is housed in the Douglas Mansion, a classical Colonial Revival mansion with a front gate and a stained-glass window designed by Grant Wood. A research library and archives are available by appointment only.
