Barker Mansion is at 631 Washington St. The 38-room mansion, built in 1857 and modeled after English Victorian manors, was the home of John H. Barker, founder of the Haskell & Barker Railroad Car Co. Many original furnishings and works of art adorn the interior. The house features hand-carved marble fireplaces; mahogany, walnut and teak woodwork; baroque ceilings; a third-story ballroom; and a sunken garden.
