Indiana State Museum is at 650 W. Washington St. Indiana's natural history, geological origins and cultural and industrial development are interpreted through collections of artifacts, fossils and artwork as well as interactive displays. The museum also houses exhibits focusing on archeology, paleontology, quilts and Abraham Lincoln.
An extensive collection of Indiana paintings, drawings, sculpture and decorative arts is featured in changing gallery exhibits. Adjoining the museum is an IMAX Theater with a six-story, 80-foot-wide screen and a 400-seat auditorium.
