The Spurlock Museum

The Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Gregory St. on the University of Illinois campus, displays artifacts highlighting Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the ancient Mediterranean and Oceania. The permanent collection includes approximately 45,000 artifacts. Exhibited items range from Chinese and Japanese wood carvings to European suits of armor to an ancient Egyptian mummy. Temporary exhibits also are offered.
