AAA Editor Notes
The Homestead, on Main St. in Joseph Smith Historic Site, is an 1803 log building that was the first Nauvoo home of the Smith family. Original and antique furnishings are within. The graves of Joseph, Emma and Hyrum Smith are nearby. Demonstrations of 19th-century life are given at the kitchen in the summer.
