Garfield Park Conservatory is at the n.w. corner of Central Park Blvd. at Lake St. Built in 1907 by landscape architect Jens Jensen, the conservatory is considered the world's largest under one roof. More than 5,000 species and varieties of the world's flora as well as eight exhibit halls are featured.
The Show House is the setting for three annual flower shows: the Spring, Summer and Holiday exhibitions. A demonstration urban garden features hardy plants in inner-city settings. The Sensory Garden is next to the conservatory.
Parking is available on Lake Street. Guided tours are available by appointment.
