Discovery Center of Idaho, 131 W. Myrtle St., is a hands-on museum with more than 160 exhibits relating to science, math and technology. Visitors can use the Whisper Dish exhibit to carry on a quiet conversation across the room; squeeze clay with 24,000 pounds of force at the Make a Rock exhibit; generate electricity using the Pedal Generator; and experiment with electric arcs at the Electric Flame exhibit.
Other displays designed to encourage interaction with natural science phenomena include Touch the Spring, Disappearing Glass Rods, Pedaling Legs and Air Brake. In-house featured exhibits rotate approximately every six months.
