Idaho Botanical Garden

Idaho Botanical Garden, 1.5 mi. e. on Warm Springs Ave. from Broadway, then n. to 2355 N. Penitentiary Rd., offers 14 specialty gardens on 33 acres of the former Idaho Penitentiary. The sandstone walls provide a historic backdrop for theme gardens, garden art and a labyrinth. The Lewis and Clark Native Plant Garden features a bronze likeness of Sacagawea and has examples of period plants catalogued by the explorers; it also offers views of Treasure Valley.
