The Cathedral of St. Andrew (Episcopal), S. Beretania and Queen Emma sts., was founded by King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma. Construction began in 1862. Stone was brought from Normandy, and the cathedral is said to be the only example of French Gothic-style architecture in Hawai‘i.
