Sidney Lanier Cottage House Museum

Sidney Lanier Cottage House Museum, 935 High St. is the birthplace of Sidney Lanier—poet, musician and soldier. The house has been restored to reflect the 1840s period in which it was built. Inside, visitors will take a tour and see portraits, Lanier’s silver alto flute and first editions of his published poetry while learning about his life and accomplishments.
