Fernbank: Museum, 3D Theater and Forest

Fernbank: Museum, 3D Theater and Forest is at 767 Clifton Rd. N.E. The museum features dioramas, interactive displays, large-screen films at the Giant Screen Theater and traveling exhibits that explore natural history, the environment and culture.

A Walk Through Time in Georgia places visitors within re-creations of the state's diverse regions, from the coast to the mountains, to illustrate the Earth’s history. Giants of the Mesozoic features some of the world’s largest dinosaurs in a scene that highlights a 123-foot-long Argentinosaurus, the largest animal ever to walk the Earth.

The Fernbank NatureQuest children's exhibit offers hands-on opportunities to examine an interactive river, the ocean, a waterfall, a forest, a swamp, a cave, an archeology site and an activity-filled clubhouse. The museum also includes 75 acres of nature experiences, including Fernbank Forest and WildWoods. Visitors may dine, view special film screenings and experience hands-on science activities during the monthly Fernbank After Dark program for ages 21+.
