ZooTampa at Lowry Park

ZooTampa at Lowry Park, 1101 W. Sligh Ave., features iconic Florida species and wildlife from around the world. In Africa, see animals such as okapi, pygmy hippos, African elephants and white rhinos. An adorable colony of African penguins show off their expert swimming skills in a beach-themed habitat.

Feel the rush on the family-friendly water ride Roaring Springs. Trek to discover endangered Florida wildlife, then board a boat for a journey along a flowing stream and thrill to the roar of a three-story splashdown. The Florida habitat harbors endangered Florida panthers, owls, red wolves, river otters and manatees. New is the Florida Wilds which is home to rescued animals. In the Asian habitat, revel in the beauty of such rare or endangered species as Malayan tigers, binturong, Malayan tapirs and Komodo dragons.

Wallaroo is an Australian-themed children's area where you can walk just a few footsteps away from wallabies and visit koalas. Kids can cool off in a water play area. Also enjoy the Tasmanian Tiger roller coaster, Boomers' Flyin' Bananas, Overland Express Train, Wild School of Training, animal mingles and keeper chats.
