Fort Barrancas

Fort Barrancas is on the Naval Air Station Pensacola; entrance is through the West Gate off Blue Angel Pkwy. This is one of several U.S. forts built by the U.S. Corps of Engineers in the 19th century along northwestern Florida's coastline. A dry moat surrounds the inner walls and makes access to the fort possible only by way of a drawbridge.

Note: To enter the air station, visitors (ages 16+) must present a valid I.D. Contact the fort for additional restrictions.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 45 minutes minimum.
