Harry P. Leu Gardens

Harry P. Leu Gardens is at 1920 N. Forest Ave.; I-4 exit 85 to Princeton Ave., s. on Mills Ave., then .5 mi. e. via Virginia Dr. Stop and smell the roses at this 50-acre botanical garden sheltering camellias, vegetable and herb plots, and a colorful butterfly garden. The site also boasts 10 “idea” gardens designed to inspire weekend horticulturists as well as a tropical stream garden ornamented by banana and palm trees, ginger plants and bamboo. Guided tours lasting approximately 30 minutes showcase the Leu House Museum, a two-story farmhouse dating from the 1880s.
