AAA Editor Notes
Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park is at 4732 Millhopper Rd. (SR 232), following signs. Measuring 120 feet deep and 500 feet across, this sinkhole formed as early as 10,000 years ago. The area is home to plants and animals normally found in the ravines of the Appalachian Mountains. A half-mile walking path circles the sinkhole while a 232-step wooden walkway descends it. An interpretive center houses natural history exhibits and an audiovisual presentation about sinkholes.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
