Northwest Park & Nature Center is off I-91N exit 38 or I-91S exit 38A, 1.5 mi. n. on SR 75, 1.2 mi. w. on Prospect Hill, then 1 mi. n. to 145 Lang Rd. This 473-acre park includes more than 12 miles of trails for hiking, jogging and cross-country skiing. The nature center features a children's tree house and hands-on displays in the Discovery Room. Sheep, goats and chickens live in the adjacent animal barn. The Luddy/Taylor Connecticut Valley Tobacco Museum houses early and modern harvesting equipment in a former curing shed.
