Connecticut's 9-11 Living Memorial

Connecticut's 9-11 Living Memorial is within Sherwood Island State Park. Shrubs and trees surround a large granite stone dedicated to those killed in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. On the edge of Long Island Sound and facing the Manhattan skyline, the park was used as a staging ground for relief efforts following the tragedy.
