Monte Cristo Cottage is 1.5 mi. s. of US 1 at 325 Pequot Ave. This is the boyhood home of Eugene O'Neill, Nobel Prize winner and one of the nation's great dramatists. The setting for his play “Long Day's Journey into Night,” the cottage contains O'Neill memorabilia; a short multimedia presentation introduces visitors to the playwright.
