Fort Trumbull State Park

Fort Trumbull State Park is at 90 Walbach St. The historic stronghold to the Thames River, the five-sided fort displays an Egyptian Revival style. Built in 1852, it operated from the Revolutionary War through the Cold War. Visitors may see exhibits in the former officers' quarters, the barracks and the grounds, which feature cannon batteries and a blockhouse citadel.
