Yale Center for British Art is at 1080 Chapel St. at High St. Displays include British paintings, drawings, prints, books and sculpture. A gift from Paul Mellon, the extensive collection surveys the development of British art, life and thought from the Elizabethan period to the present, stressing the period 1697-1851. Changing exhibits are featured. A research library is on the premises.
