Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo is in Beardsley Park at 1875 Noble Ave. The 36-acre zoo features more than 300 animals in North and South American outdoor habitats. Endangered species include Siberian tigers, giant anteaters, red wolves, maned wolves, Andean condors, Brazilian ocelots and golden lion tamarins. The zoo features a New England petting farmyard, camel rides, an indoor rain forest, a walk-through aviary, a Victorian greenhouse and an indoor carousel.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
