Trail Ridge Road, (US 34) between Estes Park and Grand Lake, climbs to the crest of the range and crosses the Continental Divide. The 48-mile route reaches elevations of more than 12,000 feet.
Note: The route should be driven with caution by anyone unfamiliar with mountain driving (there are no shoulders or guard rails). Rapid weather changes also can occur; dress appropriately.
