Long House is in a small side canyon off Rock Canyon on Wetherill Mesa in Mesa Verde National Park. The second largest cliff dwelling in Mesa Verde National Park, Long House can be visited only on 2-hour ranger-guided trips in summer. The round-trip hike is 2 miles, with a 130-foot gain in elevation upon exiting. During the tour, visitors climb two 15-foot ladders within the site.
Note: The tours can be strenuous due to the elevation, steepness and summer heat.
