Miramont Castle

Miramont Castle is at 9 Capitol Hill Ave. off Ruxton Ave. Nine types of architecture are incorporated into the design of the 33-room castle-like mansion. Built of now-rare hand-quarried greenstone into a mountainside in 1895, it “stair-steps” up the mountain with the front door on the first level and the rear door on the fourth. Victorian gardens, a 16-sided room and The Queen's Parlour Tearoom offering high tea, light Victorian tea and lunch by reservation are available. Self-guiding tours are available.
