AAA Editor Notes
Manitou Cliff Dwellings is w. on US 24 bypass above Manitou Springs. These dwellings, built in Southern Colorado during the Great Pueblo Period, A.D. 1100-1300, depict the lives, culture and architectural achievements of Southwestern Native Americans. The ruins were moved to this site in 1907 in an effort to preserve them. Two museums feature artifacts and exhibits.
