The Old Homestead House Museum

The Old Homestead House Museum is at 353 E. Myers Ave. Cripple Creek’s most famous madam, Pearl DeVere, built the Old Homestead House in 1896. The restored brothel, said to have been the town’s finest and most luxurious, features velvet bedspreads and vintage furniture. Guided tours provide information about the house, the lives of the women who lived and worked there, and the gold rush era.
