AAA Editor Notes
Mexican Antique Toy Museum (Museo del Juguete Antiguo México, or MUJAM) is at Calle Dr. Olvera #15, in the Doctores neighborhood (M: Obrera, line 8). The dolls, toys, action figures and board games on display at this museum are part of an even bigger collection massed by architect Roberto Shimizu, who was born in Mexico City to Japanese immigrant parents. Since he began acquiring toys at age 10, Shimizu's collection has grown to more than a million items; approximately 40,000 are on display.

There are toys from Japan and Europe as well as Mexico. Vintage Barbie dolls, model airplanes and movie posters enhance the retro vibe, which will appeal to young and old alike. Don't miss the colorful murals on the walls of the library (on the top floor) and on the building's exterior.
