Casa Redonda Museum

Casa Redonda Museum (Museo Casa Redonda) is n.w. of Plaza de Armas via Av. Independencia to Av. Escudero; the museum is at Av. Escudero and Av. Tecnológico/Colón. The name (Round House) is a reference to the building's circular shape and original purpose: It was once a maintenance and repair shop for steam locomotives. In addition to a permanent exhibit documenting the history of railroads in the region, there are rotating displays of contemporary art.
