AAA Editor Notes
Bridalveil Fall is accessed via the Bridalveil Fall parking area, .5 mi. e. of the start of Wawona Rd. (SR 41) in Yosemite Valley. Flowing all year, the 620-foot-tall waterfall is often the first seen by entering park visitors. Because the fall doesn't always reach the ground due to its light, swaying flow summer through winter, the Ahwahneechee Indians named it Pohono, meaning “spirit of the puffing wind.” A quarter-mile-long paved trail leads to a viewing area.
Note: The trail's final 50 feet is a very steep stretch that will be challenging for those without full mobility.
