Western Museum of Flight is at 3315 Airport Dr. in the Torrance Airport. The museum showcases Southern California's aviation history and features fully-restored Warbirds, aircraft engines, experimental planes and more than 300 model aircraft. Highlights include an F-86 Sabre jet, U.S. Navy Top Gun F-14, NASA T-38 supersonic chase plane, YF-17 Cobra, YF-23A “Black Widow II,” A-4 Skyhawk and a Harrier jet. Of interest are the Lomita Flight Strip and Goodyear airship exhibits. Visitors may climb a ladder to sit in the cockpit of an F-5A Freedom Fighter jet.
