The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum

The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum is off High St. at Arboretum Rd., .5 mi. w. of the main campus entrance. The conservation garden includes rare, endangered and extraordinary plants from around the world. Sections of the arboretum are devoted to plants from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand in addition to California—all regions that share a similar Mediterranean climate. The flowering plants attract many hummingbirds and butterflies.
