Seymour Marine Discovery Center at Long Marine Laboratory

Seymour Marine Discovery Center at Long Marine Laboratory is w. off SR 1 (Mission St.) on Swift St., then n. on Delaware Ave. to the end of the road. The center, part of the Joseph M. Long Marine Laboratory, is a research and educational facility of the University of California, Santa Cruz. The lab serves as a base for field research in Monterey Bay and the ocean beyond. Visitors can see an aquarium and a blue whale skeleton, check out the interactive displays in the exhibit hall, and touch sea stars and other marine animals.
