Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park is at 144 School St. Built by Ohlone and Yokut Indians in the early 1820s, the adobe structure served as housing for Native Americans who worked at the mission. The exterior is restored to its 1840s appearance; inside are exhibits about Native American life and re-creations of living quarters and cooking rooms.
