Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History

Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, 2559 Puesta del Sol, features exhibits about birds, insects, mammals, marine life, geology, paleontology and Native Americans. A 74-foot skeleton of a blue whale is displayed at the entrance. Also featured are antique natural history prints, an astronomy center and a planetarium. Some offerings in the Museum Backyard & Nature Club House include a nature play area with live animals, a nature trail, fossil excavation and a sensory garden.
