Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, 3720 Stephen M. White Dr., has a large collection of Southern California marine life. Displays include an outdoor tide pool touch tank and 35 seawater aquariums. The Exploration Center is a mostly hands-on environment geared toward children, while the Aquatic Nursery has an impressive array of baby sea creatures—from moon jellies to sea horses. Multimedia shows and seasonal events, including whale-watching tours and grunion programs, are offered. The Virginia Reid Moore Marine Research Library also is on the premises.
