March Field Air Museum, s. off I-215 Van Buren Blvd. exit, near March Air Reserve Base, emphasizes the evolution of military air power and history of March Field. Aircraft displayed include bombers, fighters, helicopters, the SR-71 Blackbird and an F-14 Tomcat. Over 20,000 artifacts, ranging from early aviation to space exploration, are housed in two hangars and an exhibit hall. An aviation research library is on the premises as well as a courtyard with several memorials, including the Distinguished Flying Cross National Memorial.
