Elk Meadow Day Use Area

Elk Meadow Day Use Area is in Redwood National Park 2 mi. n. of Orick, just off US 101 on Davison Rd. Named for the Roosevelt elk frequently seen grazing here, this area was allowed to return to a more natural state after being the site of a logging company. The 2.5-mile-long Trillium Falls Loop provides access to small but picturesque Trillium Falls. Beyond the day use area, Davison Road enters Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park and is unpaved; trailers are prohibited along this section.
