Joe Davies Heritage Airpark at Palmdale Plant 42

Joe Davies Heritage Airpark at Palmdale Plant 42 is at 2001 E. Ave. P, adjacent to U.S. Air Force Plant 42. The airpark is next to the aircraft development facility known as the Skunk Works where the B-2 Spirit bomber, the F-117 Nighthawk, U-2 spy plane and the sleek, still-futuristic-looking SR-71 Blackbird were designed and built. Visitors can see 20 aircraft, including an F-14 Tomcat, F-4 Phantom II, A-4 Skyhawk, A-7 Corsair II, B-52 Stratofortress, C-46 Commando, C-140 Jetstar and a 747 that carried space shuttles.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
