Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine

Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, 17190 W. Sunset Blvd., is a 10-acre meditation garden that includes a picturesque lake and the Mahatma Gandhi World Peace Memorial which includes a portion of Gandhi's ashes in a “wall-less outdoor temple.” A path encircling the lake affords views of a replica of a 16th century Dutch windmill and the Court of Religions, with monuments to the five major religions of the world. There also is a visitor center and small museum.
