Lakeside Park

Lakeside Park is along the n. shore of Lake Merritt, a saltwater tidal lake in the center of the city. Boat rentals, sailing lessons and bowling greens are available. A tour boat also cruises the lake. The Camron-Stanford House, an 1876 Victorian, was home to several prominent Oakland families and formerly housed the Oakland Museum.
