Los Altos History Museum

Los Altos History Museum is at 51 S. San Antonio Rd., in the Civic Center complex behind the Los Altos Main Library. The museum's permanent exhibit surveys area development from the days when Ohlone Indians occupied the land to the present. Recorded sounds add realism to the displays, which include information about early ranchos, the apricot orchards prevalent in the early 20th century and an animated model train setup that depicts the city during the 1930s. Changing exhibits also are featured.
