San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park

San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park is at 15808 San Pasqual Valley Rd. The park commemorates an important 1846 battle in the Mexican War. A small museum on a bluff overlooking the rolling San Pasqual Valley describes the battle with displays of maps, drawings and historic items from the period including a U.S. Army uniform. Using a pamphlet available at the museum, visitors can follow a self-guiding 1-mile loop nature trail. A bronze monument near the museum is dedicated to the battle.
