Campanile

Campanile (Sather Tower) is at the center of the University of California Berkeley campus. Built in 1914, it is 307 feet tall and contains a 61-bell carillon that chimes on the hour and plays music. An elevator and staircase take visitors to the observation deck, which offers expansive views (on clear days) of nearby Oakland and more distant San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
