Benicia Capitol State Historic Park

Benicia Capitol State Historic Park, First and West G sts., preserves the Greek Revival building that served as the third state capitol for just over a year beginning Feb. 4, 1853. It is restored and furnished in period. The Fischer-Hanlon House, adjacent to the park at 135 West G St., is a renovated gold rush hotel that also contains period furnishings; it can only be visited on a guided tour.
