Gold Rush Museum

Gold Rush Museum, in the historic Auburn Depot building at 601 Lincoln Way, depicts Placer County's early days through old mining equipment, an exhibit about mining methods, a stamp mill and a replica of a mining tunnel. Visitors can try their luck panning for gold in a small indoor stream; salted bags are provided.
