Wayfarers Chapel

Wayfarers Chapel, 5755 Palos Verdes Dr. S., was designed by Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. Built in 1951 almost entirely of glass and stone, the “Glass Church” is a memorial to Emanuel Swedenborg, an 18th-century theologian and scientist. The church is surrounded by redwoods and 3.5 acres of gardens on a bluff with a panorama of Catalina Island and the Pacific.

The visitor center, designed by Eric Lloyd Wright, grandson of Frank, provides information about the chapel as well as the history and tenets of the Swedenborgian church. Self-guiding tour brochures are available.
